Dr. Stefano Cusaro graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Milan in 2002 with a thesis on the electrocardiogram in snakes by the use of the transesophageal probe. Always interested in medicine of exotic and unconventional animals, he has obtained his professional skill by visiting and practicing in numerous facilities and referral animal hospitals. He joined the study group of exotic animals in 1998 becoming a formal member in 2002. Since 2010 he has been a member of SIVAE and ARAV. He was regional delegate of SIVAE Piemonte from 2011 to 2014. He is currently a member of the SIVAE Board as Secretary. He is co-author of several books and articles related to medicine and surgery of exotic and unconventional animals and speaker at numerous national and international conferences. In 2015 he obtained the 'FNOVI accreditation for medicine and surgery of reptiles and amphibians and the GpCert (ExAp)’. He is currently legal representative and cofounding partner of Veterinary Associate Centre XXIII Marzo, operating in Novara (NO) and in Cogliate (MB). He is also legal representative and cofounder of GammaVet Veterinary Hospital located in Seregno (MB). His professional interests are mainly focused on internal medicine, surgery and anesthesia of reptiles and small mammals.
